Before anything else, examine your skin to know your skin type, this will help you to know how to maintain your skin. There are different skin types; oily skin, dry skin, combination skin, normal skin, sensitive skin.

Dry skin

If you have dry skin, you may notice that you have patches, flaking, scars, or that your skin is rough. You will also notice that your skin gets dried easily. Remedy for dry skin, use products that are oily e.g moisturizers.

Oily skin

If you have oily skin, you will notice that your skin is always greasy, or shiny even when you haven't used products. Remedies, use products that don't contain too much or no oil in it, wash your face on a regular basis.

Combination skin

This is where some parts are oily while others are dry, for instance, your nose is oily and your cheeks are dry. Remedies: use different products ( use the one that prevents dry skin for dry areas while you use the one that prevents oil for the oily area), Make sure you exfoliate ( you can use bio-clarity products), Use natural ingredients like cucumber, because chemical products may be harsh on the skin.

Normal skin

This type of skin does not react to product easily, it fits almost every product (it's still important you test the products before use, don't just assume). Normal skin is a skin type we all wish for.

Sensitive skin

is opposite to normal skin. Sensitive skin itches after the use of a product. It easily reacts, it burns and may also sting you when you use a product.

Other things you should put into consideration The ingredients used in the making of the product ( you can see that written at the back of the product). Time to apply the product ( there are day time creams and nighttime creams) How the product works. Identify the problem that you require a solution for. Results you plan to gain by using the product.
