Red Velvet Cake The Classic Version- Easy Recipe. From Scratch

Red Velvet is my favorite cake, I like the color, the richness of the cake, everything just comes together. I see it as the queen of all layers cake, it is the sweet combination of buttermilk and vanilla extract. It's just amazing, So I created a recipe for the best Moist Red Velvet Cake. Let go straight to making it.


How To Make Red Velvet Cake


Sieve  1/2 ( 310g) cups of all-purpose flour into your mixing glass bowl

Pour 16g of cocoa powder

1 teaspoon of baking soda

1 teaspoon of salt

Stir carefully and set aside

Get another mixing glass bowl

Pour in butter 115g room temperature

For more moisture use melted butter

 Add 300g of sugar into the bowl

Beat until its smooth

Add 2 eggs into the bowl, one at a time then beat until smooth

One cup of vegetable oil

Beat until combined

1 teaspoon of vinegar

1 cup of buttermilk

Beat until combined

Add flour mixture (divide into two parts and add gradually)

Mix after each addition until its combined

2 teaspoons of Vanilla extract

1 teaspoon of red food coloring

Beat till well combined

Divide between two 8 inches 20 cm baking pans

Bake at 175C / 350F for 37 to 40 minutes

Insert a toothpick into the center, if it comes out clean its cooked.

Cool each cake in the pan for 10 minutes on a wire rack

Then you can release it from the pan so it can cool completely

Frosting (keywords)

Add 2 cups 450g of cream cheese to your bowl

11/2 cups of powdered sugar (250g)

1 teaspoon of Valina extract

Beat until its smooth

Pour 11/4  300ml cups of heavy cream into another bowl

Whip it until stiff peaks

Gradually fold it into the cream cheese mixture

Assembly

Cut the top of each cake

Spread a layer of frosting on top of one cake

Place the second cake on top of the first cake

Evenly spread your frosting on the top and the sides of the cake

Design to your taste

Refrigerate for 2 hours, then serve
